βItβs been crazy,β commented Nova Scotia Head Coach Jay Warren after the game.Β βFirst, Iβd like to thank everybody that came out and supported us; Iβd like to thank the parents, Iβd really like to thank my wife and my family back home because itβs been a hard week for the kids.β
βBut itβs just been an amazing ride.Β I owe it to all these guys.Β We have a special team and a coaching staff that is second to none.Β Weβre really excited and we got two other big wins today so Nova Scotia football is definitely on the rise.β
For Nova Scotia, the gold medal represents the steady growth and progression the province has recently enjoyed in the sport.
βJust a little bit of recognition; I think we are a smaller province,β Warren expressed.Β βI think the attitude here will change.β
Weβre becoming believers of what we have here and not that we are have-nots.Β Around the league too, I think its great for our kids.Β For recruiting purposes, thereβs going to be more people coming down here to checkΒ what weβre doing here.Β Itβs just good to get confirmation that weβre doing the right thing for football. Weβre trying to help these kids grow and be successful. I think weβre starting to tune into that.β
As for Ontario, they were disappointed with the outcome of Fridayβs game.
βI think Nova Scotia is very well coached,β said Ontario Head Coach Jon Binns.Β βKids tried to bring their best today; they faltered at some times.β
βI am not sure plays and calls went the way we wanted to sometimes but that happens in the game of football.Β You need to rise above it.Β As far as silver, itβs not what we wanted to come away with but itβs something the boys can hang their hats on in a few years.β
