The Nova Scotia football community is asking for support for one of their own coaches.

Sylvain volunteered his time instructing the Cheetahs program for three years.  He was a CIS Outstanding Lineman of the Year for the Vanier Cup Champions Huskies in 2001.

Currently, Sylain is hospitalized and is in the care of the Palliative Team.

SInce the news broke, many have reached out to the Sylvain family offering support. Yesterday in Bedford, several former teammates came together and went to Sylvain’s home to help out with maintenance of the yard and exterior of the house. Fresh of Team West’s win in the CIS East-West Bowl, Nill flew in from Quebeec to assist in these efforts yesterday.

Currently, a trust is being set up for Sylvain’s two children – Callia and Kaelen.  Donations are being accepted.
