Quebec offensive tackle to host NFL Pro Day.

Thursday will be one of the biggest days in Laurent Duvernay-Tardif’s career.

On that day, the 6’5, 315 pound offensive tackle will host his Pro Day.  On this day, NFL coaches and scouts will visit, workout with him and have the opportunity to view him in person.

So far, 20 NFL teams have confirmed their attendance, while another five are tentative.  Another five teams will come and visit Duvernay-Tardif after his Pro Day, but on separate visits.

Among the teams that have shown interest in Duvernay-Tardif include New York Jets, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers.

Recently, the St. Hilaire, Quebec native decided to skip this past weekend’s CFL National Combine. In the previous two CFL Scouting Bureau rankings (fall 2013, winter 2014), Duvernay-Tardif was ranked first.

The Quebec offensive tackle just completed his fourth CIS season with the McGill Redmen.  This past season, Duvernay-Tardif won the JP Metras Trophy as the CIS’ Most Outstanding Lineman and was named a CIS Top 8 Academic All-Canadian.  He is a two time CIS All-Canadian and was selected to play in the CIS East-West Bowl last year.

This past January, Duvernay-Tardif was one of two players from the CIS that was selected to play in the 89th East-West Shrine Game.

Previous to the Redman, the offensive tackle completed a stint with CEGEP Division 2 team, Andre-Grasset Phenix.
