CFC TOP 100 running back recently signs with OUA team

It was the best of situations for CFC TOP 100 Class 2014’s Jackson Bennett.

The 5’10 3/4 , 205 pound running back from Ottawa, Ontario has opted to begin his CIS career in front of the hometown crowd.  Recently, Bennett signed with the Ottawa Gee-Gees for the 2014 OUA season.

“I chose Ottawa University because I really liked the coaching staff and the players,” commented Bennett on the commitment.  “Also, Ottawa University is right in my hometown so financially, it worked quite well.”

“I will also be around my family and friends here in Ottawa.”

Bennett joins the Gee-Gees after completing his high school career with Sir Wilfrid Laurier Lancers of the National Capital Secondary School Athletic Association (NCSSAA). In addition to the Lancers, the CFC TOP 100 running back has also suited up for the Orleans Bengals of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) and the Cumberland Panthers of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
