NCAA Signing Day 2018: Wallace hanging around the border with commitment to Buffalo

CFC100 Gabe Wallace (St. Andrew’s College, ON)
Sometimes you never know where the road may lead, but for Gabe Wallace it meant a trip from B.C to Ontario for high school football, and now heā€™ll be taking up residence in New York after his commitment to the University of Buffalo.

Wallace has been on everybodyā€™s radar for a long time now, and he had plenty of NCAA interest on both sides of the continent, so the staff at Buffalo must be ecstatic that the were able to attract the 6ā€™6ā€, 315lbs linemen to their program. He spent the last two years honing in his skills at St. Andrewā€™s College in Aurora, Ontario, and he was a huge boost to their teamā€™s offensive profile opening holes for fellow CFC100 running backs Adre Simmonds and Ian MacLean. He was named to the CFC10 All-Canadian list at the end of the year for his work at SAC, and heā€™s also a former member of the FPC Showcase where he competed last season at Tim Hortons Field against some of the top linemen in Ontario.

Buffalo competes in the MAC Conference and is coming off a turnaround year that saw them flip their record from 2-10 in 2016 to 6-6. Wallace will be hoping to take the next step with the program and earn their first Bowl appearance since 2013 and first MAC Championship since 2008.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
