NCAA Early Signing Period: Banjoko goes full student-athlete and signs with the Princeton Tigers

CFC100 Tola Banjoko (Episcopal, VA – Fort McMurray AB)
The holidays are officially here, but recruiting rests for nobody, especially for the Princeton Tigers who were able to sign top ten CFC100 Tola Banjoko.

Standing at 6’5”, 255lbs, Banjoko began his career playing for Holy Trinity in Fort McMurray before heading to Virginia to play at Episcopal where he became a beast on the field, and along the way he was able to attract the eyes of many NCAA programs. The long list included Georgia, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Florida State, N.C State, South Carolina, Wisconsin, and he also had some offers floating around from the Ivy League. He could’ve chose Yale or Harvard or any of the FBS programs listed above, but instead he decided to head to Princeton and join a Tigers squad who’re looking to bounce back after a down year.

They only managed a 5-5 record this season, but Princeton was the Ivy League champions in 2016 in a split with Penn, and with the help of a stud prospect like Banjoko who decided to turn down a lot of big time offer in favour of the Tigers, they could be back on track sooner rather than later. This was no doubt a coup for the program and in return Banjoko will not only be able to flourish on the field but also off the field at one of the top 10 academic institution in America.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
