NCAA Early Signing Day: Joseph taking his talents and personality to Maine

DB CFC100 Katley Joseph (Canada Prep – Ottawa ON)
Well one things for sure, Maine just got a whole lot more personality today as CFC100 Katley Joseph officially signed his letter of intent to join the Black Bears in their quest for FCS glory.

Joseph is one of the many Ottawa natives who’ve made the leap to the NCAA over the past few years, and it all started at St. Matthew where he won an OFSAA title in 2016 before finishing his high school career with the Canada Prep Raiders this season. Joseph became a hot name throughout the summer as he seeked out exposure by attending as many NCAA camps as humanly possible, but it seemed from the moment Maine sent him an offer that it was a match meant to last.

After winning just three games in 2015, the Black Bears have managed to get back on a track with 10 wins over the last two years, but it’ll be interesting to see if a guy like Joseph can help them return to the same level of play that saw them pull off a 10-3 record in 2013.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
