Local recruit found “culmination of everything” with Dinos (VIDEO)

Peace River receiver/quarterback joins CWUAA team’s 2016 class.

Kelton Bailey did not have to look far for his future CIS home.

Last week, the 6’2, 200 pound receiver/quarterback from Peace River, Alberta signed with the Calgary Dinos.  Bailey will join the team for the 2016 CWUAA season.

Ultimately, the Dinos had the perfect combination of things he was looking for on and off the field.

“I committed to Calgary for a few different reasons, the major ones being the proximity to home, the success of the program, the caliber of the school academically and the family type atmosphere they present,” explained Bailey of his decision.  “While deciding where I wanted to spend the next five years, I really focused on the character of the coaching staff as well as the team overall.”

“I knew I wanted to be a part of a program where it’s more than just football. I personally found Calgary to be the culmination of everything I was looking for; it just felt like home any time I was on campus or in their building.”

During his gridiron career, the offensive standout has suited up for both the Henry Wise Wood Warriors of the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA) and the Wildcats of the Calgary Area Midget Football Association (CAMFA).
