Lions win 2 of 3 in OVFL action

The Bantam Cambridge Lions stood tough against the TNT Express from the Township of North Tecumseh.
The Lions had a strong first half against the always tough TNT Express, and ended the half trailing by one, 14-13.

The Express, however, pulled away from the Lions in the second half, scoring 21 unanswered points to win 35-13.
With the loss to The Express, who are one of the early favourites to win the Bantam division this year, the Lions record drops to 5-2.
Their next game is 8pm Friday July 9[SUP]th[/SUP] against the Mississauga Warriers at Jacob Hespeler Secondary School.

The Cambridge Varsity Lions teams went a collective 2 for 3 in their Canada Day games.
The peewees started the proceedings with a 41-10 win over the Hamilton Ironmen.
The Sr. Lions lost the middle contest to Hamilton 28 -3.
In the days final game under the lights, the Jr. Lions squeaked past Hamilton 13-10.
The Cambridge Minor Football Association is holding a final, live registration for their fall Cambridge Wolverines program. It will be this Sunday, July 11, 10am-2pm, at the Cambridge Centre, at the kiosk outside The Bay.
