Lions PW continue winning ways


Cambridge Pee Wee Lions continue their winning streak with a 54-0 win over the Halton Cowboys putting the Lions in first place with a record of 6 and 0.

First quarter proved to be a strong start for the lions as #50 Amber Baetsen recovers the ball putting the lions in scoring position which lead the lions with 2 touchdowns by #80 Kaden Jespersen and a third touchdown by #93 Derek Cole.
Second quarter had #9 Brayden Hill showing the cowboys what he was there to do with a 20 yard throw to #81 Dario Gallina. Hill continued with a strong second quarter with a pass to #7 Matthew Takacs for a touchdown and then to Brandon Metz for the 2pt convert. Second quarter continued to be dominated by the lions with a punt return catch by Alex Salytchev which had him run for a touchdown. Brayden Hill once again was on his game with a 2pt convert catch by #88 George Monaghan.
Amber Baetsen also played well when she recovered the kickoff giving the lions the ball once again which lead to another touchdown for the lions by #2 Alex Salytchev. The second quarter ended with the lions in control of the ball as #74 Terrel Crawford was on for the fumble recovery.
Lions continued to put points on the board in the third quarter with a touchdown by Brandon Metz and the 2pt convert catch by #9 Brayden Hill. Lions finished the 3rd with a sack of the Cowboy quarterback by #2 Alex Salytchev.
Lions finished the game strong with a touchdown throw by Matthew Takacs to Brayden Hill.
The Pee Wee lions will continue to roar as the go up against Etobicoke next Sunday.
