Laval adds a pair of teammates to their 2018 class.
Linebackers CFC100/CFC60 CΓ©dric Forbes-Mombleau and Charles-Antoine Beaulieu from Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy have been patrolling the defensive waters together for the past two years, and now they will have a chance to do the same thing on the Laval Rouge et Or.
CFC100/CFC60 CΓ©dric Forbes-Mombleau
The Forbes-Mombleau brothers are about to be reunited. βIβm really happy to share this with my brother,β CΓ©dric Forbes-Mombleau said. βWe started to play when we were young at the age of six and dreamed of one day playing for a university team together and it feels special because now itβs not just a dream but a reality.β
Even if his brother wasnβt in the locker room, Forbes-Mombleau wouldnβt have a problem finding a familiar face. βThereβs a lot of my former teammates who are at Laval right now,β he said. βThe feeling I felt when I entered Laval was about the same as when I entered CNDF and I knew at this moment that I was in my place.β
Forbes-Mombleau added that he had chemistry with the coaches from his first visit and that they are βreally good at what they doβ and are awesome as well.
Forbes-Mombleau spent three years for Les Lions de Deux-Montagnes before spending two years with Les Wildcats de Laurentides-LanaudiΓ¨re. In his final year with Les Wildcats, he won the Ballon dβArgent. In high school, he played five seasons with Les Centurions de Polyvalente Deux-Montagnes (RSEQ). He was the teamβs MVP for his first three seasons. He was also recognized twice as the top defensive player on his team. In his last high school season, he was an RSEQ all-star. He then suited up for Le Notre-Dame de CNDF (RSEQ Division 1) for two seasons. In 2017, he was named once again to the RSEQ all-star team.
Standing at 6β0, 215lbs, he is interested in becoming a physical education teacher. He is from Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, QuΓ©bec.
Charles-Antoine Beaulieu
Charles-Antoine Beaulieu is a fellow teammate on Le Notre-Dame de CNDF. The 6β1, 175lbs outside and middle linebacker played with Les Condors de Saint-Jean-Eudes (RSEQ) in high school.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
