Laurier “genuine in their approach” says Ajax recruit

Ajax defensive end joins OUA team’s 2016 class

Alfred Green was impressed with the inclusion that one CIS team expressed to him during the recruitment process.

Consequently, the 6’3, 220 pound defensive end from Ajax, Ontario signed with the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks this past January. Green will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.

“I committed to Laurier mainly because they were very genuine in their approach,” expressed Green about his decision. “I felt as if they not only wanted me to attend their school and be on the roster, but also be apart of their future going forward.”

“They also have strong core group of guys on defense that I am looking forward to learning from them. Also when I went for a visit, everyone had a family-like bond with each other and that’s something that was huge for me, it so was cool. It’s only two hours away from Ajax which is a huge bonus and I like the purple. It’s a smaller school meaning classes are little bit less crowded which is awesome for me and teachers can be a little bit interactive with students.”

The defensive standout has played for both the Durham West Dolphins of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and Ajax Rams of the Lake Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association (LOSSAA).
