Knights trio (including #CFC100) sign with CIS teams

Recently, the VIllanova College Knights of the Conference Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA) held a signing day for three recruits who will be joining CIS squads this fall.

Below are the Knights who will move on to continue their gridrion and academic careers at CIS schools:

Vince Luccisano

Vince began attending Villanova College since 7th grade.Ā  He started playing football with the Vaughan Rebels organization in the summer after grade 8 and continued to play the all-important position of Quarterback ever since.Ā  In addition to Vaughan Rebels, Vince has also played for the Toronto Junior Argos and the Newmarket Bucs organizations.Ā As a Freshman, Sophomore and Junior at Villanova College, Vince secured the Offensive MVP award in all three seasons.Ā  Vince also carried the role as a team captain in all four years at Villanova College.Ā  In 2014, Vince earned a GTA ā€œRising Starā€ All-star selection and was also selected as a team captain.Ā

The CIS Universities recruiting Vince were Queenā€™s University and the University of Toronto.Ā  Vince has recently committed to the University of Toronto where he will be studying Business at Rotman Commerce.Ā  Vince also received the Presidentā€™s Entrance Scholarship and he is also currently in the process of being interviewed for the Peter P. Copses and Judith V. Mueller 1980 Commerce Scholarship as well the Scrymgeour Scholarship In Entrepreneurial Management.

Donte Dehaney

Donte began playing football in 8th grade with the Vaughan Rebels organization.Ā  He started to play Running Back before making the switch to Linebacker in Freshman year.Ā  With the Vaughan Rebels, Donte earned the Defensive MVP award in both his Freshman and Sophomore years.

In his Junior year at Villanova College, Donte made an immediate impact and not only earned a spot of the GTA ā€œRising Starā€ All-Star Team but also came away with the Defensive MVP award in the All-Star game.Ā  As a Senior at Villanova, Donte also earned the Defensive MVP for Villanova Collegeā€™s Varsity Team.

The CIS Universities recruiting Donte were the University of Windsor, York University, Queenā€™s University, The University of Western Ontario and Acadia University.Ā  Donte has recently committed and signed a Letter of Intent to attend Queenā€™s University.Ā  Donte will be enrolled in General Arts in his first year.

#CFC100 Marquis Richards

#CFC100 Marquis Richards began his football playing days at the tender age of 8 in the Brampton Bulldogs organization.Ā  He represented the organization exceptionally well attaining many accolades along the way.Ā  Marquis has not only participated at the OVFL and High school level, but also at the provincial and national level.Ā  He was selected to Team Ontario and played in the Football Canada Cup held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan this past summer. Not only was Marquis selected as a Canada Cup All-Star in both 2014 and as an underage in 2013, he played a major role in Team Ontario’s gold medal victory over Team Quebec this past summer. His all-star selection has earned him a spot on the U18 National Team who recently competed in the International Bowl in Texas this past January.Ā  In addition, Marquis has officially been added to Football Canada’s National Team pool and is eligible for the 2016 World Junior U19 Championship.

Marquis has received recruiting letters from 23 CIS universities across Canada.Ā  After many visits across the country, Marquis has recently committed and signed a Letter of Intent to attend Queenā€™s University.Ā  Marquis will be working towards a Bachelorā€™s of Honours Science degree.
