Kingston recruit “proud” to be going to Mount Allison

Kingston offensive lineman joins AUS team’s 2016 class

Alex Salterio will be extending a family tradition at the CIS level.

Recently, the 6’5, 315 pound offensive lineman from Kingston, Ontario committed to Mount Allison Mounties. Β Salterio will join the team for the 2016 AUS season.

“I’m proud to be going to Mount Allison because my dad went there and its the best undgrad school in Canada,”Β  expressed the lineman. “I’m just happy to be there and hope to help the team win games.”

“But we got to take things one step at a time and I’m really looking forward to competing for my role on the team come training camp.”
The last gridiron team that Salterio suited up for was Bayridge Blazers of the Kingston Area Secondary School Athletic Association (KASSAA). Recently, the lineman attended Lakehead University and played baseball.
