WECSSAA: Knox leads Knights to victory over Nobles scoring three majors

The Holy Name Knights opened their 2013 high school campaign with a 42-12 victory over the Belle River Nobles in Windsor and Essex County Secondary School Athletic Association action on Friday.

Early on, the Knights seized the opportunity and scored 21 points as the team was able to score three majors.

D’Angelo Knox was unstoppable on the field as he ran into the end zone to score three majors for the Knights. Carson Ouellette scored on an eight yard run while quarterback Anthony Bontorin connected with Robert Herzog for 17-yard score. Eric DiBartolomeo also scored a touchdown for the Knights.

On special teams, Knights kicker Jeff Wielczopolski chipped in with six points.

The Nobles were able to get some points on the board as quarterback Jake Faubert connected with Zach Gagnier for a 15 yard touchdown while Sean Brannigan ran into the end zone for a three yard score.
