We’re proud to support Canada’s top female football players as they compete in one of the most significant events in the history of women’s football,” said Carolyn Van der Veen, of Irving Oil. “We are particularly proud of the athletes among us – our six employees who will be participating, Ashlee Clements, Lisa Rogers, Trina Graves, Lisa Harlow, Jacqueline Brewer and assistant coach, Jim Mather. We all look forward to meeting the team when they arrive for the final training camp in Saint John in June, and will be cheering them on during the championship.“

“I’m extremely proud that my company has chosen to support our team. I see it as a reflection of Irving Oil’s long-standing commitment to the community and its employees.” says Lisa Rogers. “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Not only do I have the opportunity to represent my country at the National level for a sport I’ve become truly passionate about, but I’m also making history for women in sport.”

The public is invited to attend a team rally on June 22, 6:30pm at Shamrock Park in Milledgeville in the North End. Come watch Canada’s first-ever women’s tackle football team compete in a red and white scrimmage.
