Fredericton Black Kats (FHS) (56), Mathieu Martin Matadors (7)
The Matadors traveled to FHS hoping to win their first game in over 16 attempts. The Kats came out strong, and according to the Matador’s coach Nick Murray were “outmatched physically”, losing 56-7. Murray is hoping this beat down “woke up” his team. Matador RB Pineau scored the teams TD, while Oliver Gaudet had a great reception and Zach Brewer successfully tricked the Kats with a fake punt.

Moncton Purple Knights (23), St. John Greyhounds (12)
The Knights traveled to the port city where Kyle Lewis had 2 TD’s and Chris Kogler scored the other. Kogler also contributed on defence with an interception. The teams kicker, Ben George also picked off a pass and gave the team 3 more on his only field goal attempt of the day.

L’Odysee Olympiens (14), Harrison Trimble Trojans (3)
The Olympiens made the short drive across Moncton to face the Trojans and their faithful fan base. The Trojans only points came from the toe of George Gbongbor on a 35 yard Field Goal. The Olympiens didn’t get into the endzone until the second half with a 1 yard run by QB Devin Niles, and then Niles connected with wide receiver Gabriel Gagner for their second major on the night.

Dominic Leblanc and Andre Hyslop were dominant forces on the Olympiens defence while Trojan defender Reese Martin had 7 tackles on the night and Ryan Wojick had 2.5 half sacks on the campaign.

The Highlanders crossed the Pedicodiac River to play in Riverview, only to come away shut out by the young Royals.
