Guelph Gryphons coaches are ‘genuine people,’ says commit

Guelph brings in a GTA commit to their Class of 2018.

Robert Proner, a defensive end from Holy Trinity Catholic High School, signed with the University of Guelph Gryphons in style, signing in his school’s atrium with his team surrounding him. What better way is there to make it official?

Already from a close-knit team, Proner is looking forward to the family atmosphere of the Gryphons. He said it was a reason why he committed school. He added that the area and campus layout were also appealing.

Oh, and let’s not forget about the coaches. “(They’re) awesome, genuine people who put school and being a good person first,” Proner said.

Standing at 6’3, 230lbs, Proner, who is from Oakville, Ontario, played high school ball with the Holy Trinity Titans (Halton Catholic Athletic Association). He will be taking management economics and finance. He added that the school’s academic resources and support system was another appealing aspect.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
