Guelph – The 2013 season was another year of continued progress for the Gryphons finishing with their second straight 7-1 regular season record. After a disappointing semi-final loss in the playoffs the team will be looking to turn the corner and take the next step in 2014.
Returning players and members of the recruiting class will take to the field next week as the 2014 Training Camp gets underway at Alumni Stadium on Monday (Aug. 18).
The 14-day camp will commence with approximately 105-total players showing up for report day on Sunday.
“Our goal is to win a Yates Cup and we are excited about finally breaking through this season. Our players, led by a dedicated group of seniors, want to ‘finish’ the journey,” said head coach Stu Lang.
The Gryphons will open their 2014 campaign on the road at McMaster on Labour Day Monday and then make their debut at Alumni Stadium on Sept. 6 in their home opener against the Toronto Varsity Blues at 1 p.m.
