Jamel Richardson

Montreal Alouettes 34 @ Saskatchewan Roughriders 28
Montreal Alouettes slotback Jamel Richardson was named the Offensive Player of the Week for Week 17. Richardson compiled 161 yards on eight receptions in the Als’ 34-28 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Richardson was a force for the Als the entire game as he accounted for 122 yards of Als offence in the first half.
Richardson’s longest reception of the game came at 12:57 of the second quarter: a 51-yard pass from Anthony Calvillo. For his efforts, Richardson earned his first 2012 Player of the Week award.

Keon Raymond

Hamilton Tiger-Cats 32 @ Calgary Stampeders 34
Calgary Stampeders defensive back Keon Raymond was named the Defensive Player of the Week for Week 17. Raymond registered eight tackles, two sacks and one interception that he returned for a touchdown in the Stampeders’ 34-32 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Raymond intercepted Henry Burris’ pass at 10:12 of the second quarter and returned it 100 yards for a touchdown in the snowy conditions at McMahon Stadium on Saturday night. Raymond’s impressive defensive play earned him his first 2012 Player of the Week award.

Weston Dressler
SB/KR – Saskatchewan Roughriders
Montreal Alouettes 34 @ Saskatchewan Roughriders 28
Saskatchewan Roughriders slotback/kick returner Weston Dressler was named the Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 17. Dressler ran for 76 yards and one touchdown on two punt returns in the Riders’ 34-28 loss against the Montreal Alouettes.
Dressler’s 66-yard punt return touchdown at 2:27 of the second quarter gave the Riders a one point lead heading into the second half. Dressler’s big play at Mosaic Stadium helped him earn his first 2012 Player of the Week award.

Jon Cornish
RB – Calgary Stampeders
Hamilton Tiger-Cats 32 @ Calgary Stampeders 34
Calgary Stampeders running back Jon Cornish was named the Canadian Player of the Week for Week 17. The New Westminster, B.C native compiled 108 yards and one touchdown on seven receptions and added 27 yards and another touchdown on 13 carries.
Cornish’s big game helped the Stamps hold off a fourth quarter charge from the Ticats and earned him his eighth 2012 Player of the Week award.
