French K/P bringing international experience to uOttawa

The Gee-Gees bring an international commit to their Class of 2017.

Kicker and punter Loïc Legendre took his talents across the Atlantic when he joined Les Cougars du Cégep de Chicoutimi (RSEQ Division 3), and now he will be heading to Ontario to join the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees.

“The school and campus are awesome,” Ledendre said. “There is a great coaching staff. I’m feeling very confident with the special teams coach and the kicking coach. They have produced a lot of great kickers in punters (in the last) ten to fifteen years.”

Originally from Nevers, France, the 6’1, 165lbs athlete spent three years playing football in France. He spent two years with Les Ducs de Nevers and one with Les Spartiates d’Amiens. He also played lacrosse. During his two years with Les Cougars, he was the Division 3, north-east MVP on special teams.

While he is already used to travelling, Legendre will have a chance to immerse himself in the cityscape of the nation’s capital. “I really love the city,” he said.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
