Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): REC Hladik loves the combination of power and speed

Who doesn’t love Rob Gronkowski of the NFL’s New England Patriots? He is someone that receiver, Bradley Hladik looks up. “My role model is Rob Gronkowski because i love his combination of power and speed. It is something i hope to achieve,” he says. “I like his attitude and how he plays the game.”

Playing for five years now, Hladik amassed 370 receiving yards and 100 rushing yards. He had 7 interceptions – 2 brought back for touchdowns, as well as 25 tackles and 6 touchdowns. He was named Provincial AA Grade 11 Defensive Player in 2016, grade 10 Junior MVP and grade 10 Junior Athlete of the Year with the Panthers.

Hladik says that it’s been interesting learning different skills and positions. “I’ve held every position but my top three are receiver, db and linebacker,” he says. “I’ve been to several skills camps in the Okanagan and they have been fun. I have been to the semi finals twice and the finals once. “

“My goals are to get scouted and do well.  I’d like to improve my knowledge of the game.” Hladik says when explaining what he would like to take away from the CFCFPC. He also has his sights set on the CFC100 top prospects list.

In the off-season, the 6’3 and 195-pound athlete is planning on playing basketball and work out daily.  In addition to eating well, he’s going to focus on agility training and lifting weights to increase his power and speed. He’s also started track this year to round out his training.

It’s no wonder his football experience to date has been “fun and exciting”. He says that he loves the intensity of the game and that motivates him to get better each day.
