Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): OL Morrison wants to maximize, learn, and showcase abilities

For this North Langley Bears player, Kevin Morrison has played for four years now on the gridiron.

The 6’4 and 240-pound offensive lineman plays mostly at left tackle and has been on numerous community and provincial teams. Most recently he played for Team BC in 2016 and All-Stars Youth for 2017.

While he participates in these other various events, he says for the CFCFPC he wants to “maximize, learn, and show my abilities for the love of the game.” He will use this to keep up his football ability and improve his skills.

In the off-season, he does strength and cardio training. “I have a love for working out in the gym,” he says. “I also do Martial arts numerous times per week, which helps with my flexibility and foot movement.”

I love to play football, because it provides me with a challenge. It keeps me focused and clears my mind,” he explains when asked what he loves most about his sport. In addition, he goes on to say that Ray Lewis is someone that he looks up to. “He was an amazing football player and extremely motivational.”

Morrison still has a few years to go before he decides his future with football, but in the meantime he is going to be able to use all these various avenues to get better, get stronger, and keep reaching for the goals he has set out for himself.
