Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): Lineman Fagan looks to Terry Fox for inspiration

There are many iconic Canadian athletes that many of us look up to. One such athlete is Terry Fox who Mount Boucherie Bear, Wyatt Fagan uses for inspiration. He says that because of Fox’s “mental toughness and character”, he will be a role model in Fagan’s sporting career.

This AAA Conference All-star in the BC high school football league is looking to the next chapter of his playing career as he finished off his senior season this last year leading the Bears with 38 tackles. At 5’11 and 275-pounds, Fagan is looking to use the CFCFPC to expand on his football knowledge and get more exposure in order to go to U Sports.

To learn more about the game from different coaches, make the Fox 40 final roster, and get an invite or scholarship to play football at a Canadian University,” says Fagan of his CFCPFC goals.

He has the accolades to get there. InΒ 2014, he was the Bears Junior Offensive Lineman of the Year, in 2015 – Bears Defensive Lineman of the Year, 2016 – Β Bears Team MVP, and 2016 – Β BC High School Football AAA Conference All-Star. Not bad for only having played for three years now.Β

Being a defensive tackle and left guard, Fagan says that growing up, he played many competitive sports, but he prefers the aggressive nature of football. He especially likes the contact, which as a lineman, you have to have a certain demeanor to be successful.

Working on his kraft, Fagan will continue to work on his strength and conditioning as well as his football skill and technique in the off-season. He also will be playing soccer in preparation for his university football opportunity.
