Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): Vernon’s Mitchell “has had much success”

This 5’5, 126lbs wide receiver/running back has been on the gridiron for eight years now. While he is still young in his career, he is already using football as a tool for greater things down the road.

Playing for Vernon Secondary in the AA Varsity Okanagan conference in British Columbia, Ethan Mitchell had 330 receiving yards, to go along with 10 touchdowns this past season. Vernon went 4-0 in regular season play and Ethan says that “my teams and I have had much success”.

Loving football because it allows Ethan to “be [himself] on the field”, he has a few goals he wants to accomplish for the Fox 40 Prospect Challenge – West Coast.

“my goal for the Fox 40 prospect challenge is to become a better athlete and football player.” he says.

In order to accomplish this goal, you will find Ethan running routes, doing agility training, and weight training in the off-season in order to propel him closer to his goals of becoming a better football player.

He also uses some role models to help motivate and inspire him. “Steve smith and dough Baldwin. Because I’m speedy like them and I play with the same heart and passion as them.” he says.

With these positive role models, hard work, and a passion for the game, Mitchell should be able to get to where he wants to go with football.
