Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): STM Knight is looking to get ranked

Looking for exposure, athlete David Osho, says that the CFC100 is definitely a goal of his. “To be in the CFC 100 is a goal for me because I could expose myself to scouts across the nation and to play football for a long time after school,” he says.

But before we get there, how did Osho get to loving football so much that he has kept with it all these years?

Osho has been playing football since 2006. He is primarily a defensive back, but also plays wide receiver for the St. Thomas More Knights in BC. He sates that playing both ways has made him look up to players such as Julio Jones because “He could play both sides of the football making him a key part for his team.”

He goes on to says that Jones’ training is very intense and it shows how much he cares for the game. David also participates in some intense training as he does other sports such as basketball and track to keep in game ready shape. “I also do a training camp with Limitless Athletics where I become faster and stronger  and learn techniques to help me become a better player,” he adds.

And while the CFC100 is on his radar, he has more immediate goals for the CFCFPC. “I would like to be ranked because I would like to play post-secondary and even after post-secondary because that is my #1 goal.”

Playing since grade 1, David is deeply connected with the sport that he loves. He has made a lot of close friends and has had some great coaches. Every year his teams have had success and have gone far into the playoffs. He recalls in grade 8 that they won the provincials. David has been the recipient of multiple MVP awards as well for his individual performance during these years.

And while he loves this built in camaraderie, it goes even deeper for Osho. “I love football with a passion because of all the feelings I get. I love the feeling when I make a tackle, a catch, a touchdown and most importantly, a win,” he says.

We all strive for those important parts of the game and I love making all of those happen in one game.”
