Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): RB Anderson, “My football experience to date has been an amazing life changing one.”

Brayden Anderson has been playing football for eight years now. While the running back/slot back still has another year to graduate, he already has quite a list of accolades that he has accumulated over his career. He has been awarded the Best Offensive player 2, Best Defensive player 1, Most Sportsmanlike 1 ,Team MVP, Rutland Voodoos Grade 10 Top Varsity Player , and currently Team Captain for the Junior and Varsity RSS.

Playing for the Rutland Senior VooDoo’s, Brayden has established himself as one of the leaders on the team. The 5’9, 197lbs athlete says that football has made him the person and player that he is today. He goes on to say, “My football experience to date has been an amazing life changing one.”

I love football because of the environment of a bunch of brothers all working together for the same goal and I love the competitive atmosphere of it all. It makes you work harder to be better.” adds Brayden.

The Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast) will definitely allow for some healthy competition as players come from across the regions of British Columbia and the Prairies to battle it out on the field. Anderson says that he has specific goals for this tournament stating that he wants to gain skills and experience, plus exposure in order to continue to grow into an even better football player.

As we mentioned above, Brayden still has another year to graduate, but with the 2017 class over with, the CFC100 2018 list is just being considered. We asked Brayden if being on the list was something that he would strive for and he replied, “Yes absolutely, my goal is to be on the CFC 100 list in 2018 , That’s is what drives me on a daily basis, to get better , work harder and be the best I can be. That is definitely my goal for 2018 !”

In order to get here, Anderson plans on playing rugby, men’s flag football, and working out at the gym during the off-season. He will have plenty of motivation as he says he looks to NFL player Adrian Peterson, running back with the Minnesota Vikings.

My football idol/role model would have to be Adrian Peterson RB with the Minnesota Vikings because of his athleticism and talent and the fact that he worked hard to come back strong after his knee injury is outstanding.”

With his eye on the future and the determination to put the work in, Anderson will no doubt accomplish all that he has set out to do.
