Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): Rachel using FPC to become a better player

After five years of playing football, receiver/linebacker Dylan Rachel, is already looking to establish himself as a premier player. With an invite to the Top Gun showcase in South Carolina and other various tournaments in the US, Rachel uses all opportunities to get better.

Currently playing with the CFC50 Notre Dame Jugglers, Rachel went to the Provincial finals with the team only to lose to Terry Fox by a marginal three points in OT. However, that hasn’t held him back from creating goals to go further. For the FPC, he wants to become a better player “technique and talent” wise. He goes on to say that he also would consider it a “great accomplishment” to make the CFC100 top prospects list, and adds, “I would be extremely humbled by it.”

In order to do this, he is already training and putting in the time to improve his overall conditioning and physical preparation. “I work out 3-4 times a week with my teammates and gameready fitness. I also try an attend camps that will help me further my knowledge and ability to play the game,” he says.Ā

He looks to Jabrill Peppers when we asked if he had any role models that he looks to model his game after. “I try and model my game off of someone who can do a bit of everything so Jabrill Peppers is who I look to too model my game around.”

In the end, it comes down to the passion and dedication to the sport you love; football. “The team, the brothers you make are relationships that will last a life time. Playing side by side with some of your best friends is something anyone would love to do.”
