Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (West Coast): Lineman Lowery looking to make the FPC travel team

Joshua Lowery is looking no further than the BC Lions to find inspiration. “J.R. LaRose of the BC Lions, my favourite coach and a great inspiration to me,” he says.

The 5’7, 170lbs defensive tackle and offensive guard has been playing football for eight years now and has played for Les Patriotes de l’Ouest, Cloverdale Community Football Association, and currently, the Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers.

He has been named twice team Offensive Lineman of the year, and once team Lineman of the Year. His next goal is to make the roster of the FPC West Coast travel team.

In order to get here, Lowery attends Game Ready Fitness and plays other sports such as rugby and flag football in order to work on his conditioning and athletic ability.

While he says he love to “hit people”, he also states that he loves the game of football in general and that it has allowed him to make great friends and teammates.

He can’t complain as he says his football experience to date has been “excellent”.
