Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): K/P Bridge looking to prove himself as a specialist

Josh Bridge has been playing football for just two years, but has found success as a kicker/punter. During the season he went 13/15, 48 long in field goals and averaged 45 yards with 70 long in punting, along with his average of 60 yard and 75 long on the kickoff.

He has played one summer with the junior varsity North Halton Crimson Tide in the Ontario Football Conference (OFC). The Crimson Tide also played high school football in the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA) with Mayfield Secondary School.

His goals for the Fox 40 Prospect Challenge are to make the team and perform to the best of his ability as a specialist.

The 2018 graduate also hopes to see his name on the CFC100 list, as he believes it would be valuable for his football career.

“My offseason training routine consists of stretching, kicking football, and hitting the gym with the boys to improve my strength and technique,” said Josh.

On the field, the Tide’s role model is the Indianapolis Colts’ punter/holder, Pat McAfee. “I admire his ability to punt footballs and he is just an all around good dude,” explained Josh.

Moreover, the kicker/punter says he loves football because he loves kicking balls and being part of a team.
