Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): WR/DB Poschner looks to play outside his comfort zone

Kyle Poschner has been playing football for three years and has played almost every skill position in the books. At KCI in Kitchener, Poschner played his first year as a cornerback, moved to middle linebacker in second year and now finally found his place as a defensive back, wide receiver, and return specialist.

Every position Kyle has played he has earned the respect of his coaches and colleagues. Winning Most Improved player his first year, MVP for defence in his second year and making the Waterloo Region high school all-star team the last two years. He is also a veteran of the Fox 40 prospect challenge making the Ontario West sophomore team in 2016.

Kyle never seems to take a day off even in the off-season, participating in the Super-Elite Football Predators Pro Skills camp the last couple years. Poschner likes to also play ball hockey to help with his endurance and agility. Kyle has even thought about his fitness in the future by going to various physical therapists and nutritionists to keep him fit and healthy all year round.

A couple players that Poschner says he looks up to are Ladainian Tomlinson and Charles Woodson.

“Tomlinson’s focus and determination he put into every play on the field was outstanding. He achieved countless awards for his hard work and has inspired me to take more calculated risks on the football field.” Kyle noted about Tomlinson.

“Woodson inspires me because he learned to play several positions to help his team achieve success depending on the personnel.” Poschner on Woodson.

“I will strive to be one of the very best. I have to play with and against the best around. I hope to gain more knowledge and skills from my peers and coaches so I can improve my ability as a football player and be an even stronger asset to the team.” Poschner said about his goals for the CFCFPC.
