Former York U and BC Lion Ricky Foley released by Seattle Seahawks

Ricky Foley has been cut by the Seattle Seahawks. He could return to the BC Lions or sign with another club as a free agent.

Foley, who led the CFL with 12 sacks last year for the B.C. Lions, stands a little over 6-foot-2 and weighs 245 pounds.

Ricky Foley, born on June 9, 1982, was drafted by the Lions fourth overall in the 2006 CFL Canadian Draft. Foley attended York University in Ontario and played his college football there, the first organized football he’d ever played.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
