Football Nova Scotia has announced the coaching staff for the provincial under-18 team that will participate at the 2013 Football Canada Cup in Moncton, New Brunswick from July 15-21st, 2013.

He has coached in the provincial ranks for the past ten years including a role as special teams and recruiting coordinator for the Saint Mary’s University (SMU) Huskies football team in Halifax.

With over 35 years of coaching experience (30 years in the CIS) Lefebvre also had a successful football playing career in the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) league as an all-star defensive back in the early seventies. Being successful in the coaching ranks, Lefebvre has won two Vanier Cup championships. He also was the recipient of the Gino Fracas award and is NCCP Level 3 certified. Offensive coordinator for this year’s team is Chris Judd, who is currently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the defending AUS champions, the Acadia Axemen in Wolfville. With the Axemen, he has been quarterbacks coach since 2006 while he recently completed his first season as offensive coordinator.  Previous to his coaching career, Judd was the Axemen’s pivot for two seasons (2004-2006).  During his time as a player, Judd led the Axemen to their second consecutive conference title and CIS semi-final appearance in 2006.  For his efforts on the field, Judd was named All-Conference quarterback. Judd, who is a native of California, also previously suited up for both the Los Angeles Harbor College Seahawks and Torrance Tartars. Not only will Judd be offensive coordinator, but he will also serve as quarterbacks coach of the provincial under-18 squad, a role that he had last season with the provincial team.

Defensive coordinator of the provincial team will be Peter Fraser, who’s currently the offensive line and special teams coordinator of the Acadia Axemen. Originally from Oromocto, New Brunswick, Fraser had a successful playing career with John Abbott and the University of Ottawa Gee Gees. Previous coaching stints on Fraser’s resume include being special teams coordinator for the McGill Redmen, head coach of the Ottawa Jr Riders and head coach of the East Ottawa Generals.
