CFC TOP 100 two-way recruit joins CWUAA team’s 2014 class.

Kayden Johnson is staying home for his CIS career.

The 6’2, 200 pound defensive back/running back and CFC TOP 100 standout from Outlook, Saskatchewan recently committed to the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.  Johnson will join the team for the 2014 CWUAA season.

“I’ve decided it’s best for my family and I that I stay closer to home to make the experience a lot easier,” says Johnson of his choice to stay home.

This past fall, the two-way player completed his high school career with Lutheran Collegiate Bible Institute (LCBI) Bisons.  This past July, Johnson represented his home province as a member of Team Saskatchewan at the 2013 Football Canada Cup in Moncton, New Brunswick. Last week, he suited up for Football Canada’s Junior National Team roster that played against Team USA’s under-19 national team during the 2014 International Bowl Series in Arlington, Texas.

Not only does Johnson excel in football, but he is an established track and field athlete.  He is the second ranked Junior National Decathlete.
