Etobicoke recruit chooses York

Etobicoke defensive back newest recruit to join OUA team’s 2015 class.

Stephen Taylor is the newest York Lion.

Recently, the 5’9, 185 pound defensive back from Etobicoke, Ontario signed with the Lions.  Taylor will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.

Ultimately, there was one attractive reason that he could not resist when it came to his decision – proximity.

“The main factor behind my decision to attended York was I wanted to stay close to home,” expressed Taylor.  “I also believe that the program has great potential and I want to be a part of that.”

The defensive back has played for both Michael Power-St. Joseph Trojans of the Toronto District College Athletic Association (TDCAA) and Etobicoke Eagles of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL). This past season, he led the Trojans in tackles, sacks and overall yards gained.
