EDWARDS: Joys of competition – CFCFPC

The Fox 40 Prospect Challenge suggest plenty of reasons why a young player should participate and I can find no fault with any of them.

One reason, not generally acknowledged or given a great deal of credibility, are the lessons that one gains from being part of a team, albeit for a moment in time.  All the participants have improved their skills; they have learned from high quality coaches.

They have had the joy of competition, but perhaps the two most important benefits, and they tend to be overlooked are these; great fun and great camaraderie.
