Football piqued DT Keegan Pawlik’s interest when his uncle started taking him to Edmonton Eskimos’ games when he was a kid. But it wasn’t until he started playing that he “fell in love with the sport.”
“Football allows me to escape from all the stress of the real world,” he said. “When I put my gear on and run on to the field, I finally do something that I can be proud of and actually do something that truly matters to me. I guess you could say it is my escape, it keeps me honest. That is what football means to me.”
