Dinos’ winning culture impresses commit

Calgary adds an out-of-province commit to their 2019 class.

CFC100 Steven Schwartz, an offensive lineman from Saint James School, is looking to make a name for himself with the University of Calgary Dinos.

ā€œThey have a great established program in Canada with a rich, winning culture,ā€ Schwartz said. ā€œThey have a great coaching staff from the top to bottom that is committed to making the program the best it can be. Calgary also has a ton of success with sending guys to the CFL.ā€

Continuing his praise of the coaches, he said, ā€œAs a head coach, Coach Harris has done a great job and getting Coach Sheahan as our offensive coordinator only makes the staff even better.ā€

Standing at 6ā€™2, 290lbs, Schwartz is interested in taking either marketing or management.

Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Schwartz has been playing football south of the border with the Saint James Saints (Mid-Atlantic Conference). He won three All-MAC awards and four All-Washington County awards. In 2015, he was a member of Team East at the Fox 40 Prospect Challenge.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
