Calgary adds one out-of-province commit to their 2019 class.
Simon Li hasnβt been playing football for very long, but the offensive lineman from West Vancouver Secondary School didnβt need a lot of time to impress the University of Calgary Dinos.
βThe school is nice,β Li said. βThey invited me to the spring football camp (and) showed respect to me.β
Li, who has been playing for one season, added that the coaches are βkind and have a lot of experience.β
Standing at 6β7, 300lbs, the left tackle was a Pacific Conference all-star in 2018. He played with the West Vancouver Highlanders (BCSSFA) in his hometown of Vancouver, BC. He is interested in business or arts.
Could not be more proud of the effort and patience of Simon Li. Only one year playing β¦@BCHSFBβ© football and signs with the University of Calgary Dinoβs. 5th Highlander to commit this year. #highlanderpride β¦@WVSS_Athleticsβ© pic.twitter.com/3eEdSfHbdy
