Lowhya is coming off an impressive junior varsity season with the Essex Ravens of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL). Lowhya registered 50 tackles and a team high nine sacks while placing fourth on the team for defensive scoring with 93 points.

Even though Lowhya is still two years away from being eligible for university football, he has had dreams of where he would like to continue his career at the next level.

“I’ve always dreamed of going to McMaster or even Michigan State—that would be awesome,” says Lowhya.

Lowhya’s main influences on his football career and in life are his parents, his brother, his high school coach Dave Feurth, and Essex Ravens coach Glen Mills.

“The most inspiring people in my life would my parents and my brother,” says Lowhya.  “My parents look at me as their saviour, someone that can help them be great and live the lifestyle the always wanted to live.”

“My brother is there to look up to someone so that he can be great too. In football I would say Coach Mills and my high school coach Dave Fuerth as they made me see football in a whole other light and made me realize this isn’t just a game it’s a way of life.”

While putting up solid statistical seasons, Lowhya does realize that if he wants to achieve greatness, he has to work extremely hard.

“I just want everyone to know that greatness is never given to you, greatness is something you earn like the food on the table,” says Lowhya.  “Hard work pays off trust me when I say that.”

“My determination is second to none.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
