Crawford leads Ravens over Cowboys

Tarrence Crawford scored a pair of rushing touchdowns to lead the Essex Ravens to a 30-3 win over the Halton Cowboys Sunday night in Ontario Varsity Football League action.

Dakota Stewart added another touchdown, while Matt Pao-nessa added three field goals and made all extra points for Essex.

The Ravens (2-1) return ho-me Saturday to host the Cambridge Lions at 7 p.m.

In other action, Eli Fera scored a pair of rushing touchdowns to lead the Essex Jr. Ravens to a 28-1 victory over Halton.

Fera scored on a 35-yard screen pass and a 25-yard run, while Matteao Del Brocco ran in a 38-yard pitch for the Ravens.

Quarterback Josh Rosaasen completed the scoring with a seven-yard run.

Defensively, Darren Quennel had an interception, two sacks and five tackles.

Carson Ouellette scored on a 50-yard punt return as the peewee Ravens defeated Niagara 16-7 Saturday night.

Austin Dennis added a one-yard run and Marquis Thompson kicked a 26-yard field goal.
