Concordia signs Prairie Conference (CJFL) 2-time MVP

The Concordia Stingers added a big piece to their outstanding class of 2011 today. Reid Quest, Quarterback for the Regina Thunder & Prairie Football Conference 2-time MVP confirmed that he will travel east to compete for a job with the Stingers. Reid led all junior QBs in throwing this past season.

The Concordia coaching staff are looking forward to their two 2011 QB commits. Defensive Coordinator & Recruiting coordinator Phil Roberts had this to say:

“We have hit a grand slam recruiting QB’s this off season. With the acquisitions of Reid Quest and Troy McCusker we are really pleased to have two strong armed individuals to compete for our starting job.”

Quest has three years of CIS eligibility remaining and will compete with two other quarterbacks at Concordia who are also to enter their third year of eligibility.

Last year, Quest led the Thunder to a 6-2 record and a second-place finish in the PJFC standings. He completed 61 per cent of his pass attempts (176-for-289) and threw for a leaguehigh 2,756 yards and 29 touchdowns. He ranks sixth on the CJFL list for highest-completion percentage (59.1) in a career. His 492-yard passing game from Aug.15, 2009 ranks seventh on the CJFL all-time single-game passing list.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
