Commit excited to join renown Carabins

Mikael Arseneau, a wide receiver from CĆ©gep Ɖdouard-Montpetit, knows there is something special about suiting up for your hometown team, especially if itā€™s named after the city like the University of MontrĆ©al Carabins.

ā€œFirstly, I live in MontrĆ©al, so it is near my home. The Carabins are very renown, and I really like the coaches. I believe that the Carabins can lead me to an even better level,ā€ Arseneau said. ā€œThe coaches are really welcoming, and they really are there for the players.ā€

When he reaches university, Arseneau plans on going into health security. He said that the certificate will help him later because he aspires to be a firefighter.

Standing at 6ā€™3, 210lbs, Arseneau has spent the last two seasons with Les Lynx dā€™Ć‰douard Montpetit (RSEQ Division 2). In 2015-2016, he won several awards as a receiver. He was an all-star and was the top catcher in the league. He also played as a kicker.

With his recruitment now over, Arseneau took a moment to reflect on his career. He said that, ā€œMy success especially comes back to my teammates because without them I could have never excelled at football.ā€
