Running Back / Receiver

Teams:
Upper Canada College (High school)
Metro Toronto Wildcats (OVFL)

Class 2013

Pelle started playing football in grade 8 as a running back. He has since played safety, running back, slot back, wide receiver, kick and punt returner and outside linebacker. He has a long list of awards and accolades over that short period of time including 2010 & 2009 OVFL all star, 2010 Metro Toronto Peewee MVP, 2009 Metro Toronto Peewee offensive player of year, 2010 CISAA (high school league) Varsity champion, 2009 CISAA junior champions, 2009 OVFL peewee leading rusher and scorer, and 2011 GTA rising stars team.

His most memorable football experience is one of two choices. “My 2010 OVFL game against the Halton Cowboys where I broke the records for most touchdowns in a game (6), most yards in a game (338) and highest YPC (28.2). My other most memorable game may have been against the Saint Andrew College Saints in the CISAA varsity championship as a grade 10 in the 2010 fall; I returned a kickoff for a touchdown and had over 100 yards receiving and the game finished with a double overtime defensive stand on the goal line.”

“The most influential person in my football career has to be my football coach since grade eight, Dwayne Mundle, he grew up in Toronto himself and played for WVU and the Edmonton Eskimos, he’s mentored and trained me in everything from stances to game nerves.”

Pelle has played lots of sports but it is football that he has stuck with and gets the most enjoyment from. “No matter whether it’s playing madden or in the metro bowl, it doesn’t matter the team or position, i just love playing.”
