Class 2011: Nic Demski RB, Oak Park – Winnipeg (WHSFL MVP Offense)


Today we feature Winnipeg star running back Nic Demski. Nic has been playing football for 10 years and this year capped off his high school career at Oak Park with a provincial championship.

Nic Demski has been playing football for 10 years, starting his young career with the Charleswood Broncos where he played running back all 7 years. The last 3 years he has played for the Oak Park Raiders. In his grade 10 year he played QB for Oak Park and won the Winnipeg High School Football League (WHSFL) rookie of the year award. That year his team made the semi-finals.

In grade 11 Nic switched to runningback and slotback. Oak Park made it to the finals (quite a final game it was) where nick had over 200 yards, 6 TDs (5 rushing, 1 receiving), and one of those TDs coming on a 109 yard run.

This season Nic was full-time runningback and team captain. He finished the season with 1119 yards rushing on 99 carries. He was the MVP of the championship game (which Oak Park won) and was the the Elite Offensive Player of the year and all star for the WHSFL.
