Daniel has played for both Mississauga Warriors and St. Marcellinus high school, where he was a team captain in 2010. Duane Forde of TSN mentioned Daniel as one of his top 2015 CFL draft prospects.
Daniel has two fond football memories. Firstly, winning back to back ROPSSAA (Peel region) championships with the St. Marcellinus Spirit and going to Nova Scotia with Team Ontario West (Football Canada Cup) and being named to the Offensive all star team.
He credits ‘Coach Kick’, Ken Urquhardt with helping improve his kicking skills. “Coach has been coaching me for the last year and has helped me come a long way. He has worked tirelessly in helping me achieve my kicking and my life goals. Also, he demonstrates to me that all obstacles can be overcome.”
Also, his parents have been a tremendous influence on him. “They have been looking out for me since day one and have provided me with all the tools I need to succeed in life.”
Daniel is also an honour roll student and graduated with a ‘school letter’.
