Class 2011: Braden Churly, WJ Mouat’s “Mr Versatility” (Abbotsford, BC) Video


Today CFC features Abbotsford, BC player Braden Churly. Braden is one of the most versatile players in this class and had a great 2010 season with WJ Mouat Hawks and Team British Columbia.

Braden began his football career at age 13 with the Chilliwack Giants. He played for the Giants from 2006 to 2008. In 2008 he played for the Jr Varsity Mouat Hawks and moved up to Varsity in 2009.

Braden’s versatility comes from his varied sports background, having played soccer and competitive gymnastics at a younger age. His first year with the Giants he earned Team MVP and the following two seasons was the teams starting QB, earning two consecutive team Offensive MVPs and a starbowl selection.

In 2008, Braden’s first high school season, he threw the game winning TD in the championship game (Subway bowl).

Before the 2010 season WJ Mouat Head Coach had this to say about his your star:

Over the past two years, Brady has made significant improvements in his size, strength, speed and agility. His recent testing at Team B.C. evaluations indicate that he is at the elite level in many categories of athletic talent. In addition, he has excellent skills and an outstanding natural football sense.”
