CJFL Players of Week August 15

CJFL Outstanding Offensive Player of theWeek
Nathaniel White – Quarterback – South Surrey Rams
To say the BCFC Offensive Player of the Week had a β€œbig game” is an understatement.
South Surrey Ram quarterback Nathaniel White had a career day throwing 14 of 20 for
402 yards and five touchdowns.

His shortest touchdown pass was 19 yards as he
connected for an 80 yard and 50 yard major. He would also add nine carries for 89
yards, including a 43 yard scamper. White would lead the Rams to their second
consecutive victory.

CJFL Outstanding Defensive Player of theWeek
Drew Morris – Linebacker – Ottawa Sooners
Drew is the second Sooners linebacker in as many weeks to capture the defensive
honours. The OFC rookie defender led all with 23 defensive points on 10 solo tackles,
one assisted tackle and one fumble recovery as the Sooners defeated the visiting
Brampton Bears 27-24 in overtime

CJFL Outstanding Special Teams Player of theWeek
Aaron Smit – Kicker – Kamloops Broncos
The Kamloops Broncos have won back to back games and have raised their record to 2-
2 thanks in large part to a foot. The BCFC Special Teams Player of the Week is kicker
Aaron Smit who would tally 14 of the Broncos 26 points. He finished 4-4 in field goals
hitting from 13, 16, 34 and 42 yards out. He was also 2-2 in converts. Smit made six
punts for 189 yards and four kick-offs for 214 yards.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
