Chance to excel (VIDEO)

Edmonton defensive back recently joins AUS team’s 2014 class.

Mandella Loggale is coming to the Maritimes to begin his CIS career.

Last week, the 6’1, 194 pound defensive back from Edmonton, Alberta committed to the Saint Mary’s Huskies for the 2014 AUS season.

“The reason I committed to Saint Mary’s is because I saw it as a great opportunity to be a part of something great,” said Loggale of his commitment.  “Also, I felt like Saint Mary’s was a place where I can improve as a person and a football player and have a great chance to compete for a championship.”

Loggale comes to the Huskies after completing a two year stint with the Edmonton Wildcats of the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL).  Other teams he has suited up for during his career include the Austin O’Brien Crusaders of the Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA) and the Edmonton Chargers.

“We are very happy to have Mandella join us at Saint Mary’s,” commented Huskies Head Coach Perry Marchese.  “He is a great addition to the family.”
