CFC50 Weekend Watch (6): Storm brewing in Quebec, Saskatchewan faces off

Around the country, there are some great matchups happening between CFC50 high school teams. Here is a look at what you can expect this Thanksgiving weekend.

There’s a storm brewing this week that will explode in Quebec between No. 3 Seminaire Saint-Francois and No. 7 Saint-Jean-Eudes. Both these teams boast of top offenses and defenses as both remain undefeated up to now. The Condors have played one more game than the Blizzard and have 182 points for versus 37 against. The Blizzard are right there with them with 152 points for and 29 points against (minus a game). Could this be the year that the Blizzard melt? This is the game we all have our eyes on.

Another worthy matchup is between No. 5 Holy Names and No. 14 Herman in Ontario. Holy Names is a Tier 1 team with 142 points for versus just 7 point against in 3 games played. Herman on the other hand is Tier 2 in that conference and, after 2 games played, have 88 points for and 3 points against. While we think this will be great game to get to, we predict the Knights to be on the winning end of this one.

For the rest of the country, we’ve got No. 13 Leboldus tanking on No. 44 Miller in Regina. These two teams met the first of the season where Leboldus came out on top by only 1 point, 35-34. No doubt, the Marauders are looking to claim victory this week. We also have No. 23 Centennial taking on No. 35 Holy Cross in Saskatoon. Again, both teams contenders for the provincial championships each year.
